We use Super Tough Nylon
to mold our Ready Pin holder and slide, which provides
superior strength and durability without unnecessary weight.
This nylon offers wear characteristics better than steel and
much better than aluminum. This, Super Tough Nylon, Ready
Pin will work for you under any weather condition. Our Ready
Pin is unaffected by summer heat or winter cold and ice. The
Ready Pin needs no special lubrication to remain usable like
some other attached hardware systems. Our Ready Pin will not
rust or corrode, nor will concrete adhere to its nylon
surfaces.
We use an improved
version of the standard steel pin on our attached hardware.
We chose to manufacture our pin form tempered 4140 alloy
steel, which is harder than most other pin manufacturers
offer. This hardness effectively prevents the common "mushrooming"
of the pin from hammer impacts during the strip. Our steel
pin has a steep taper towards the end, which quickly ejects
it from the tie and form side rails. You will be surprised
at how easy it is to set and strip with the Tuf-N-Lite®
Ready Pin.
The Tuf-N-Lite®
Ready Pin has a positive stop for both extended and stored
positions. The slide portion of the Ready Pin has an area
that is easy to impact, if needed, to retract the pin from
the side rail. You may also retract the pin beyond the
stored position stop to allow clearance for standard pin and
wedge use. The stops are molded into the part so there are
no set screws, ball bearings, or steel springs to rust, wear
out, break, or lose. There are no special tools required to
use our Ready Pin. Simply use your and hammer to slide
between positions. |
